FACULTY EXCHANGE PROGRAMME DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY, HATIM & GOVT. J.BUANA COLLEGE

In pursuant with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between HATIM and Govt J. Buana College, Lunglei, a Faculty Exchange Programme was held by Department of History, HATIM and Department of History, Government J. Buana College for two days i.e., 12 & 13 April 2022 at both the college campuses. The programme was successful and informative for both the faculties and students.
Day One: Tuesday, 12 April 2022 Venue: GJBC
The opening function of the programme was chaired by Dr. B. Lalrinchhani, Asso. Prof. & HOD, Department of History, GJBC. She enthusiastically welcomed us and showed that they were eagerly waiting for this programme. Professor J. Zorema, Principal, GJBC made an opening remarks and stated that history is a challenging subject and encouraged faculties and students to organized such events every year. He also handed his book Kumpinu leh Mizoram for free to all attendees and even give extra books for our college library.
An introduction of both the departments were made by Mr. Rothangliana, Asst. Prof., GJBC and Ms. Lalruathlui Khiangte, Asst. Prof., HATIM respectively.
Lecture Sessions took place at History Core Classroom and Seminar Hall, GJBC. The first session started at 11:30 AM - 12:30 AM where classes were taken by Mr. Rothangliana and Ms. Lalruathlui Khiangte. The afternoon session began at 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM lectured by Dr. Lalzarzova and Mr. Benjamin Lalnunfima.
Day Two: Wednesday, 13 April 2022 Venue: HATIM
The second day of the programme began with lecture session in Conference Hall and Computer Laboratory, HATIM at 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Mr. Rothangliana and Ms. Lalruathlui took the classes. It was followed by the afternoon session (12:30 PM -1:30 PM) with Dr. Lalzarzova and Mr. Benjamin Lalnunfima’s classes.
The closing function of the programme was chaired by Dr. Lalzarzova, Asst Prof., GJBC. Mr. Vuansanga Vanchhawng, Principal, HATIM made a closing remarks and expressed his thoughts regarding the programme. He praised faculties and students’ performance and ended his speech by encouraging attendees to work hard if they want to make a strong and good career in life.
There was feedback from faculties and students of both colleges. From HATIM, Mr. Benjamin Lalnunfima, Asst. Prof. & HOD shared his unique experience of teaching students from GJBC. Mr. Rothangliana on behalf of GJBC gave his feedback as well. From the students, Lalrinkimi Chawngthu, VI Semester, HATIM benefitted from exposure to varied faculty with an opportunity to exchange ideas. Lalrampana, VI Semester, GJBC found the programme thoughtful and stated that it provided him with growth opportunities.
We really enjoyed a lot and dispersed with a sincere hope that such programme should be organized time and again, giving teachers and students a chance to display and exchange our experiences, ideas and talents.
